Cavite

On my first journey to Cavite City, I went to the public market for breakfast and tried bibingkoy. A tasty bite of what’s to come!

Samala Rice Cakes from Pat & Sam Delicacies, Tamales from Robinson’s Tamales, and fresh quesillo cheese were foods I’d been looking forward to trying for so long. And of course we had to try Digman’s Halo-Halo.

Our visit to Cantina de Tita A (by reservation) was one of the best meals I’d had. I rarely get to enjoy long lunches with my mom, in the Philippines no less. Certainly once in a lifetime with this array of regional specialties!

In Kawit, we visited the Aguinaldo Shrine, and walked through a house with secret passageways, trap doors, and famous names and histories in every corner.
