On this episode we chat with Abi Balingit, author of the cookbook Mayumu: Filipino American Desserts Remixed, published by Harper Collins in 2023. It landed on the New York Times’ Best Cookbooks list that year, winning Abi an Emerging Voice award from the James Beard Foundation the next.
Abi’s bakes and fundraisers have been featured in Vogue, Forbes, Saveur, the Food Network, The Kitchn, Cherry Bombe, and countless social media posts. I’m a huge fan of her work and this book and I’ve been super excited for this episode!
