Camarines Norte, Part Four

Inevitably, accidents occur, and I could only be glad the injury wasn’t worse. So life, for awhile, slowed down.

My days in Bagasbas continued by the beach. All of this, I later realized, a form of recovery.

In the city centre for the Pinyasan Festival, I staked out a spot near the stage to watch the parade, then followed the crowd to the gym for the high school intrams. I miss this place already.

Angko, a local kakanin made with crushed peanuts rolled into a ball and wrapped with a sticky rice dough, became my favourite snack. Especially on road trips!
